Pastel Easter Card

This Easter card is to be entered in 4 challenges:
http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/ - #45 "Circles or Dots"
http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com/ - #132 "Use Everything" (Rom. 8:31-32)

I will be sending this card to my family in Wisconsin. I don't always send them an Easter card but since I actually made it early enough I have no excuse this year! My list of items used will be a bit longer this time because the one challenge said to "use everything"....so I tried to squeeze in as much as I could (even stitching) without having it look TOO cluttered. I'm a bit disappointed that the picture doesn't show that the little lamb is covered in "Stickles Star Dust". Here's the list:
Spellbinders dies*: flower- Bauble Blossoms Two
Pendants- Fleur de Lis
Lg. Scalloped Circles, Lg.
Standard Circles, Lg.

A "Guy" B-Day Card?

Question: Can a guy's birthday card have butterflies on it?
I thought it looked OK but someone else thought perhaps butterflies are too "feminine".
Hmmmmmmm. What do YOU think?
This was a really fun card to make! I used at least 9 different stamps!
Here's the list:
On the front- "Celebrate Your Day" & border circle by JustRite
2 sizes of butterflies by StampingScrapping Design, the Tabs Basics 1 set
old car & compass from Sandylion, the "Are we there yet?" set
On the inside - Ps. 37:4 Bible verse from Verve Stamps
"Big Sable Point Lighthouse" by Graywolf Graphics
greeting by Stampabilities - "May your birthday br filled..."
"Best Wishes..." by PSX

The circle border and the butterflies are colored with Spectrum Noir markers. I love the demension that gives them. And in this case, an "antiquey" look too.

Happy Father's Day...Yes, a Bit Early!!

This is another of the cards for the fundraiser. I have been having fun just creating cards, not for any challenges, but just to use my favorite stuff in my "stash"! I love this fish!!

The main thing that is interesting about this card is the designer paper, of course. Its very unusual! I've had it for quite a while...maybe a couple years already. It is called "Que Sera Sera" by K&Company. I bought the 8.5 x 8.5 pad and a set of printed die-cuts that match. (The fish on the front is one of the die-cuts.) I find the DP a little hard to work with because it is 2-sided; both sides are beautiful, but don't always "go" together real well...so for a card the inside and the outside don't blend as well as I'd like. That's why I always try to bring an element from the one to the other to tie them together better. (Hope that makes sense!)
The circular "Father's Day" sentiment is a digital freebie I got off the internet.
The "bubbles" on the front are "Droplets" from Kaisercraft.

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

A Mother's Day Rose

My first Mother's Day card of the season! I have been asked to make several MD cards for a fundraiser that will take place the week before MD...to raise money for a couple from my church who are missionaries to India. So I have been busy in my craftroom all week! I'm also making other greeting cards to donate and will post them soon too.

Most of the items used to make this card...the DP, the rhinestones, etc...are just from my stash. But I would like to mention my new flower die that I was able to experiment with for this card. Its the Spellbinders Shapeabilities "Spiral Blossom One", and I used their "Foliage" die to make the pink leaves.

The sentiment on the front as well as on the iside is computer generated...just something I wrote. If you like it you may certainly copy/use it.
Oh, and the rose w/streamers stamp is from the "Rose Fleur de Lis" set by StampingScrapping Design.

I am entering this card in just one challege: http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com/ - #130 "Dark & Light"

Sugar & Spice & Everything Nice

The tea cup and the sentiment are from Cindy's brand new set of stamps called
Spellbinders™ Matching Stamps - "TEA FOR TWO"
Such a sweet set! These have been on "preorder" but are due in any day now. I got the set from Cindy as my prize for winning the February Sketch Challenge at StampingScrapping Techniques & Tutorials.
I love the delicate flower print on the tea cups...looks like old-fashioned china.

Birthday Butterflies

This card was time-consuming yet fun to make. The double-layer butterflies look almost real, don't they?
They are all stamped images from 2 sets of Cindy's StampingScrapping Design stamps, Tab Basics 1 & 2*. The rhinestones on them are from Pizzazz Aplenty, and the Magnolia image* is called "Edwin Chasing". I've colored the butterflies and Edwin with my new Spectrum Noir markers*...and one Letraset Promarker (the blue). The DP is Paper Studio and Generations Stackers, the "Pastel Color Collection".
All of these *'d items/brands can be found at http://www.stampingscrapping.com/
The border of little butterflies matches the other ones so nicely! Helped to carry through my butterfly theme. The Edwin image I colored while traveling last week. We went to Gulf Shores for about 6 days and spent a couple days on the road each way. So I took along my markers and several images so I could practice. I think I'm getting a little better! One image I actually threw away because it looked like I couldn't stay in the lines...the ink bled really bad...I think the paper was the wrong kind. I'm learning!
