the "Wedding Flower Pack"*- hot pink, and the green "leaves" are
from the "Flowers, etc."*- beige and olive.

Happy Valentine's Day

Another pink and gray card...this one is for my husband. He said he really liked it.
All the papers I've used are from the same pretty set I used before,
"Be Mine" by Echo Park that Cindy sells @
 http://www.stampingscrapping.com/ .
The "LOVE" stamp is from a Sandy Lion set called (of all things!) "Love".
It matched the paper designs perfectly!
Around the edge of the tag I used my Tim Holtz blender with
Memento "London Fog" ink.
I added stitching, Stickles, ribbon and a few gems...all done!

Challenges I'm entering this card in:
http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/ - "Best Friend" (my hubby!)
and the February Sketch challenge @ StampingScrapping Techniques & Tutorials

Another New Grandbaby!!

Calvin Wilbur has arrived! He was born Thursday evening, weighed 7 lbs and 6oz., was 20 inches long and looks like his dad, David. His mom, Emily (my daughter) is doing well after a fast, intense labor and delivery. They came home from the hospital today and are being well cared for by Mom-in-law Michelle. I think it will be my turn Monday. The middle name "Wilbur" is after great grandpa who is thrilled that there is finally a boy to carry on the family name.
So this is Calvin...and he really is a lot cuter than this picture shows. And, NO, I am not just a prejudice grandma! I tried to get a picture of his "big" 2-year-old sister, Lilly, giving him a kiss but every picture is just a blur...she is constantly moving...and fast!!

New Month, New Blog!

Yes, I've started another blog...like I'm not busy enough already! But I visited someone else's blog a while back and liked it so well I decided to try it myself! The blog I saw was a photo-a-day blog by Larry from Iowa. He is an artist (his wife is too!) and he has a great eye for photographing ordinary things that in their own way are beautiful. If you want to visit his blog click this: http://larry-burgus.blogspot.com/ or click on his blog listing in my Blog List on my sidebar, Larry's Photo A Day. Besides, he just seems like a really nice guy.
Today I posted my first photo, just one I had in my file from last year. But I will be purposely taking photos for this new blog from now on. Not sure how often I'll post...probably not every day.
The new blog is titled "Picture this: Everyday Beauty". Here is the address: http://picturethis-everydaybeauty.blogspot.com/
