Red, White and Blue B-day!

Hello, Blogger Friends! Its been a rather busy month so not much time for posting on my blog lately. But today I will show you a card I made for my son-in-law's birthday, which was Tuesday, the day after Memorial Day. He is a veteran so I thought the red, white and blue theme with stars and stripes was very appropriate.

I used a new embossing folder that I simply HAD to try out...the Sizzix TH Diamond Plate. I used a piece of  foil coated paper so it really looks like diamond plate! Love it! Very manly, don't you think?
Other ingredients:
Stamps- "Happy Birthday" by Stampin Up,
Bible verse by Verve,
Birthday greeting by ??? (Amish booth at Shipshewana)
Paper/cardstock- Paper Studio and my stash
Ink- Black Licorice by Fun Stampers Journey
Ribbon and stickers...from my stash

Challenges:
http://ttcrd.blogspot.com - May 26 - June 2, Anything Goes

As always, thanks for stopping by today!

The patriotic colors look great against the embossed silvery background. It's a great masculine card! Thanks for sharing it with us at Cards in Envy.
