"I'm Thinking of You!"

Have you ever had one of those days
when you fuss over a card you're
making, tweeking it, adding details, adding just the right embellishments that you think "go" perfectly...only to be dissatisfied with it when you're done? THIS is one of those cards for me...its kind of OK...that's all. But the House Mouse image IS one of my favorites...in fact I like all of the elments alot...just not put together quite like that I guess! Oh well, I'm still entering it in a few challenges!

Here's some of the stuff I used :
1)The stamped image of Maxwell the House Mouse- "Feeling Rosey" colored with colored pencils
2)Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies
3)on that scalloped die cut is a stamp from Cindy's Lacey Circles set
4)Martha Stewart scalloped flower border punch
5)the white paper is Cryogen, the rest is from my stash
6)as well as the ribbon and buttons
7)the "Thinking of You" & heart stamp are acrylic ones from ??? (sorry)

I stamped those 2 stamps in a pattern for the background paper in green, but then I think I covered it up too much....it really did turn out nice!

The challenges I'm entering this card in:
http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/ - "Favorite House Mouse Stamp" #89
http://theshabbytearoom.blogspot.com/ -Week #50 - "Buttons & Bows"
This time, any advice on what I could have done differently to improve this card....please! Feel free to comment! Thanks!!

What don't you like about it? I think it's cute!

The only very minor thing I would change is that perhaps the pink background is just one shade too intense a color. When I look at it, my eye wanders from the VERY CUTE focal point, and perhaps having a less intense background might change that. Having said that - I'm not sure the camera even captured the colors properly - and I am definitely a color challenged person myself - so take everything I say with a grain of salt.

Looking at this card, I have to tell you that it's very pretty and the colors of the papers and the coloring of the image is great. I work too long on some of my cards since I'm my biggest critic. It's a very pretty card and you should be proud. --Gail Lass
